Do you like spiders? Don’t worry, most people don’t. However, something many people may not think about is the fact that spiders are very beneficial. They eat other insects, keeping us from having an even bigger pest problem.
Even though these arachnids are beneficial, there are dangerous Elk Grove spiders that should be removed immediately. The two most common dangerous species that can be found in Elk Grove include black widows and brown recluses. If you happen upon either of these you should seek professional spider control right away.
Luckily, these poisonous spiders aren’t commonly found in homes but rather in garages, sheds or other outdoor buildings. When they are discovered in homes it’s often in basements or closets.
It’s important to practice safety when entering dark buildings or rummaging through dark places. Wear gloves when possible to avoid getting bit should you discover one when digging through the shed, etc. If this sounds like too much trouble but you have noticed a poisonous spider in one or more of these areas, call our spider control techs today. We’ll come remove them for you!

Elk Grove Brown Recluse
Brown recluse spiders are often found in corners of rooms or buildings. Their back contains markings that look like a violin which helps us identify them from the many other kinds. They are 5/8″ in size and eat crickets and even cockroaches. A brown recluse won’t bite you unless it feels threatened. The bite can be very painful and create an open, ulcerating sore. The bite becomes a blister with a red ring around it and another white ring around the red ring. You can expect to develop an itchy rash within 48 hours after getting bit.
